What is the CELPIP test?

The Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program, or CELPIP, is an English language proficiency assessment tool which measures listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills to study or start a career overseas. The test has two versions. CELPIP-General and CELPIP-General LS is suitable for people who need proof of listening and speaking proficiency for Canadian citizenship. The test is fully computerized which is totally conducted in single sitting.

Test Scores

Each component of the CELPIP-General and CELPIP-General LS test has a CELPIP level to be achieved. CELPIP test scores are measured as the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) levels. Below is a chart of each CELPIP level and its description respectively.
