What is PTE

PTE is the world's leading computer-based test for English language proficiency to study abroad and immigration. Version of PTE

PTE has two versions

Generally it consists of two sections: writing and speaking. The written test is basically to gauge the listening, reading and writing skills of the candidates. And finally the speaking test is usually used to assess the English language proficiency of the candidate
Basically it tests the candidate’s listening, reading, speaking and writing skills. The candidates need to listen to the questions and then give the answers. The academic section comprise of 20 different questions which are mainly of 3 sections which are in the form of analytical interpretation, multiple choice questions or essay prompts.

PTE criterias

  • Attempting for PTE exam, candidate’s mother tongue should not be English
  • The scores of the PTE exams are accepted as criteria in the top universities across the world
  • In order to attempt for PTE, the candidate must be at least 16 years old
